He got back to me late that week with a final delivered price. Of course, it just so happens that the day I emailed him was the day they went on a summer holiday. So I emailed him a couple of weeks about the guitar that I had identified. I'm very partial to flamed Lemon Drop finishes, so I narrowed it down to those finishes, and they had a few in stock.Īs I think many of you here know, Rockin' has an English speaking salesman that deals with international orders and they ship worldwide. So I started poking around their website, and it looked like they had some left over from their initial run, and seemed to have ordered another run in 2015, some with some pretty cool tops. Stumbled on a discussion here about Rockin's special run of Tokai's in 2014 with the old Reborn Old logos instead of Love Rock using premium woods (lightweight Mahogany and solid flame and plain tops). I currently own 2 Greco pointy axes (Black Explorer and "Korina" V) and 2 Tokai Les Pauls an '03 LS-320 and the main subject of this post, a '15 Reborn Old from the Rockin shop in Japan.Īnyway, being a long term lover of Japanese clones, a couple of weeks ago I started looking around the net to see if anything caught my eye in the Tokai, Greco, Burny, Fernandez, Ibanez space. I'm a long time lover of Japanese guitars and have amassed a small and respectable (IMO) collection, some vintage, some modern. I've been a lurker here for quite some time, but just bit the bullet and joined last week. ![]()
